International Mother Language Day (IMLD) holds deep significance in Bangladesh's history, symbolizing the resilience of its people in protecting their language. Recognizing its importance, UNESCO declared 21st February as IMLD in 1999. BCO Trondheim celebrates this day annually with a vibrant cultural event, inviting cultural and student organizations from 10-15 countries in Trondheim to participate. The event features three segments:

Introduction: A brief history of International Mother Language Day.

Main Event: Performances showcasing cultural heritage through songs, dance, poetry, films, fashion shows, and more.

Dinner: A chance to enjoy delicious Bangladeshi cuisine with all attendees.
