Built from sturdy timber logs with a natural rock wall inside, GapaLux allows a seamless blend of indoor and outdoor experiences with its fully openable glass doors. Accommodating seven, it has a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, fireplace, and underfloor heating—perfect for total relaxation.

Charming Forest Cabin – Simple Living Close to Norwegian Nature and Wildlife
Experience simplicity and proximity to nature in our charming forest cabin, an ideal retreat from the everyday hustle. With no running water or electricity but equipped with solar power, a fireplace, and space for three, the cabin offers a rustic but cosy stay. Hammer Farm Shop
Find a charming, self-service shop stocked with local produce, including high-quality meats and eggs from our own animals, as well as a seasonal variety from nearby producers. Open daily from 8 am to 10 pm.

Activities
Hammervatnet is nearby, offering excellent fishing, boating, swimming, and grilling opportunities. Hammer Gård borders Hammervatnet Nature Reserve, a protected area rich in vegetation, birdlife, and other wildlife. Please note that access to Hammervatnet is restricted from 20 March to 20 June and from 15 September to 15 November to protect nesting birds, but our private grill area remains available year-round. You can rent a rowboat, tandem kayak, canoe, or fishing gear, and in winter, rent sledges and ice-fishing gear.

Åsen has beautiful hiking trails within walking distance of the farm, and Åsfjellet offers lakes and paths perfect for cycling and hiking if you have a car. We’d be delighted to join you on a guided tour during your stay.

Meet the Farm Animals
The farm is home to sheep, pigs, chickens, turkeys, ducks, and rabbits. While most animals roam the fields in summer, some are always in the barn. Join us for a tour of the farm, feed the sheep, give carrots to the rabbits, and listen to the turkeys’ distinctive chatter.
